The word "journey" evolved from the Latin word "diurnus," meaning "of a day." The old French "jornee" means "a day's work or travel." The word has also come to describe a process of personal change and development. Over the past six years, Denise Bull's unplanned journey began with a set of watercolors, two paintbrushes, and a couple of online tutorials. With a Bachelor of Arts degree in Fine Art, Denise was intent on expanding her artistic skills. What ultimately unfolded was an unexpected journey of faith, art, and personal fulfillment. Two years into painting, a friend invited her to a Bible study to delve deeper into the New Testament. As a lifelong Christian with extensive experience in various studies, the opportunity to explore the Apostle Paul's missionary travels ignited a creative spark within her. After an impactful lesson, Denise felt compelled to create a watercolor journal capturing Paul's journey as a personal, artistic interpretation rather than a scholarly analysis. Each page offers a glimpse into Paul's life and serves as a quiet invitation to "Enjoy the Journey"--the book's tagline and fitting summary of the inspiration behind it. Denise's family, friends, and Christian faith are at the heart of this book. Her hope is that you enjoy the beautiful watercolors and they inspire you to look more closely into the life of the Apostle Paul, the Apostle to the Gentiles.
