Does it only work on windows, or can I stick it other places?
It works best on the inside of windows because most flies are attracted to light so fly into the window and hit the trap. You can stick it to other surfaces like metal or tile, as long as they are flat and clean. If not the trap wont stick properly.
-
Which species of insect will it trap?
Our trap will catch all small flying insects, including: house flies, cluster flies, gnats, fruit flies, mosquitoes, small wasps and moths. I won't work well for larger, stronger insects like horse flies, large wasps or stink bugs.
-
Is the trap baited? Do I need to add bait?
The trap is bait free and odorless. When used on a window, sunlight is the attractant. If you want to trap fruit flies we suggest sticking the trap above a cup of vinegar with dish soap in. For drain flies, stick the trap above the problem drain.
-
How do I remove it without getting glue on my fingers? How long does the trap last?
The top and bottom edge of the trap are glue free, so you can hold either edge when removing the trap. The trap should be replaced when full, or after 1 year. In very dusty environments they trap may need replacing sooner.
-
Will the trap leave glue residue on my window?
Under normal condition it should not, but if the glass gets very hot it might lease some residue. If this happens, you can scrape it off with a razor, or use vegetable/mineral oil, 70%+ rubbing alcohol, nail polish remover or paint stripper
