. Cooking measuring chart. Rice: 1 cup. Water: 2 ½ cups. Vegetable oil or butter: 2 teaspoons. Time: 25 min. Servings: 3. Cooking Instructions. 1. Sort and rinse 1 cup of rice. 2. Boil 2½ cups of water in a saucepan. Add 2 teaspoons of vegetable oil or butter. Add salt to taste. Stir the rice. 3. Cover, reduce heat and simmer for 25min or until all the water is absorbed.
