I've been "friends" with Texas Pete for a long time (btw: it's made in N. Carolina). There is just enough heat in "pete" to give my food a kick, but not overdue it. Price is not bad and I always purchase the 24oz bottle. If you like a little heat w/o frying your senses, then this is the sauce for you.

I'm not the kind of person who is into hot sauces that immediately set your mouth on fire and burn, make you start sweating like you're in a Sauna. Call me chicken, I can take it. LOL. I love hot sauce that has a nice tingle, but has a nice flavor to go with it. Texas Pete is that hot sauce for me. It's delicious. When I have french fries I like to put some ketchup in a little bowl (or make a little bowl using aluminum foil, and adding some Texas Pete to give it some zing. Love it. I will warn you that if you keep it around for a long period, the color changes from red to a reddish gray and it becomes hotter.🤣🤣🤣
