My cat loves to chase the laser pointer!!! Gives him exercise because he's an indoor kitty.. I actually think it's cheaper to get one of these versus the other ones that takes the little circle cell batteries and it's easier to hold in my hand then the other ones…if you want to keep your kitty active, I recommend getting them one :)

I gave this one star for feathers because there were no feathers and there aren't supposed to be. I suppose I should go back and give the feathers a better rating. For not being present? Idk. It's a laser pointer in the shape of a little mouse. Mine was grey. You have to hold down the button which is fine, but the dot gets dimmer the longer I hold it down. Maybe the battery is old, idk, but it came with one so that was cool. It's better to only play with it in short spurts anyway. It's fine for the money, cheaper than chewy, and lasers and lights are the only thing my cat will chase. I used to be very anti-laser pointers for pets but it's nice to see him get excited and be a cat. I tried turning it off on his food, a treat, or a different toy but I've found it's easier to just wait for him to look away and turn it off. He forgets and goes off to do something else. Sometimes he does remember later, looks around and I feel bad, but it's momentary before he forgets again. He's almost 20 so he can do whatever he wants.
