Cooking Instructions on the Stove.1. In a saucepan bring 2 cups water to a boil.2. Stir in rice.**3. Cover. Reduce heat and simmer for 20 minutes or until all water is absorbed.*Cooking measurement chart.Rice: 1 cup - 2 cups - 3 cups.Water: 2 cups - 4 cups - 6 cups.Makes: 3 cups - 6 cups - 9 cups.Servings (3/4 cups cooked): 4 cups - 8 cups - 12 cups.**Add 1 tbsp. tub margarine and 1 tsp. salt per cup of uncooked rice, if desired. For drier rice use 1/4 cup less water. For moister rice, use 1/4 cup more water.Cooking Directions in the Microwave***.1. In a 2 quart microwave-safe dish combine 2 cups water and 1 cup rice.**2. Cover and microwave on high for 5 minutes. Reduce setting to 50% power, microwave for 15 minutes. Let stand for 5 minutes.***It is recommended that only 1 cup rice be prepared in the microwave at a time.Microwave ovens vary.Cooking times are approximate.To retain vitamins, do not rinse before or drain after cooking.

Great Rice like Moms
My Mom used River Rice as long as I can remember . I tries many other brands over the years and I come back to River Rice, with over 40 yrs of cooking behind me its the one rice I can count on to come out right everytime its old fashonied rice not like boil in a bag what i call fake rice , this is like what chinese places sell with their meals. I cook it at least 20 mins with a lid on stirring every couple mins, its a no brainer. Great taste great texture a lil sticky like rice should be instead of single lil pellets . Its a great choice try it !
