Instructions
Cherry topping: 1 can oregon red cherries, drained, reserve juice; 1/2 - 3/4 cup sugar (more or less to taste); 2 tablespoons cornstarch; 1/2 teaspoon almond extract (optional flavoring); combine the juice from the cherries, sugar And cornstarch into a saucepan. Cook over medium heat until thickened, stirring constantly. Remove from heat. Add the cherries And almond extract. Cool. Serve cherry topping on pancakes, waffles, ice cream, puddings; as a filling for jelly rolls, cakes, meringues, crepes; as a glaze topping for cheesecake, cream pie, or tarts. Makes about 1 3/4 cup.

Fine product for making cherry sauces and fillings
This product is a full can of top quality tart red cherries in waster without any sugar or other fillers. It is a great way to make your own cherry sauces or fillings which are far better than pie filling or other prepared products containing a few cherries and a lot of red goo. The product is hard to find and often sells for outrageous prices on Amazon and other sources. Walmart occasionally has it in stock but not often so it is good that it can be ordered at a reasonable price for what your get.

I make cherry cobbler with this item by adding to one can of Walmart brand cherry pie filling (one without sugar) - the water in the canned cherries thin out the cherry pie filling and makes a very good quick cobbler.
