This is a early Mother's Day gift from my son. I told I wanted some big canning jars and he had me buy them. I got 2 sets of 6. The last couple of years, I have seen ants in the summer. So, I will store open packages in these jars to deter ants. I do like the size of these jars and I am very happy with them. I have also bought ant boric acid killer and already put that out.

The jars were exactly what I wanted exactly the size I needed - but the lids that came with it were tightened too much or got heated or other things stacked on top pressed the lids down too hard and ruined the seals. Be prepared to buy another box of lids before using.
