(2 pack) Lindt Classic Recipe White Chocolate Candy Bar, 4.4 oz, Bar

This candy bar is amazing but you got to like white chocolate. it melts in your mouth and has the most amazing taste. but it used to be $3.98 and now it's $4.44!! I know it doesn't sound a lot to most people but when you live on practically nothing it's a lot. I have not found a candy bar that is white chocolate to replace this one. if you like white chocolate and you can pay the price it's the best

I usually get Moser Roth white chocolate but this one was on sale so I thought I'd try it. My first impression of the Lindt is that it was sweeter than Moser Roth and perhaps a bit I don't know, more bland. I thought to myself, I'm sticking with Moser Roth! But then, I went at actually got the Moser Roth white chocolate and I'm tasting them now side by side and I'm a little surprised at how different they taste. The Moser Roth is a little less less sweet and there's a slightly gritty texture. It looks like there are vanilla bean flecks in their bars, but I suspect the fact that it's made with dried milk also contributes to the texture. The flavor is more complex, but with this side-by-side comparison, I'm not sure if I actually prefer it anymore. After eating far too much white chocolate while trying to decide if I have a favorite, I'm still not sure if I do, but I can say that the direct comparison benefited Lindt more than it did Moser Roth. After the first taste I thought I wouldn't become a repeat Lindt customer, but after tasting both next to each other, I'm sure I will buy more Lindt. I'm impressed by the smoothness, just wish they'd cut back on the sugar and use real vanilla.
