(2 pack) Cherry Bay Orchards Dried Montmorency Cherries, 6 Oz.

These are very good dried cherries. I use them to give a sweetness to plain cereal. They are also excellent for dropping into the bottom of a bowl of plain oatmeal before microwaving. They soften as the oatmeal cooks and it is really a delicious treat! The Great Value dried cherries that are the Walmart store brand are equally as good at a much more affordable price, but they are hard to find sometimes because they sell out so fast.

I bought these for a brown and wild rice pilaf, seasoned with fresh basil, then garnished with more basil, green onions and toasted, sliced almonds. Wonderful complement baked salmon. The cherries were wonderful in the pilaf, not too sweet. (These were substituted for fresh, so I rehydrated them in balsamic vinegar.) Very good price. Warning: could be addictive. Maybe purchase 2, next time.
