I'm impressed with the quality of these items. They are heavy duty and stand on their own. This is preferable to hanging a bag on a hook but I really do prefer solid formed hampers. It has a single wire that holds the top of the hamper open, otherwise it is a coated fabric that holds itself up... until you don't get the cloth in the opening. That's how it is collapsible; it just crushes down to flat. The handles are sturdy enough that I think they will last until my need for this hamper is over. They are roughly the size of a load of laundry so not good if you are going to need to haul it to the laundry mat but fine for other short term uses. In a pinch this will do %26 I can imagine a few other uses for it later.
