Nice, in between size clamp for one handed use.

I use the smaller version of these regularly. Although I don't reach for this size as often, they are a great one-handed clamp for a variety of jobs. More controllable than a spring clamp and lighter than a c-clamp, they fill a specific niche. [This review was collected as part of a promotion.]

Work great when used as intended

This review is for the 1 1/2" mini clamp (59100CD). I've been using them for years with no trouble, doing all kinds of small clamping tasks when gluing items together. Could they be better? Sure, I'd like to see the pads be more 'grippy', as the yellow plastic can sometimes slip, but I just bought 4 more so obviously I'm happy with them. I can only assume that other reviewers are trying to substitute these hand clamps for C-clamps or bar clamps that, by virtue of their design, have a much higher clamping force. These are PLASTIC, and your hand pressure is all there is so you can't expect high clamping forces. The design is for ease of use ("handi-clamps") not high pressure because they lack a force-multiplying screw or lever mechanism like other clamps have. When used as intended they are perfect.

Strong and durable, but...

I have been using these clamps for everything. They’re outstanding! The only problem is with the yellow pads. They often fall off. Occasionally, one will fall off and get lost. I wish I could buy replacement pads because without them, I have to throw the whole clamp away.
