I received this item for "free" (I still pay relevant taxes on the item value) in exchange for an honest review - I have no incentive to do otherwise and if something is not right with a product, I will tell you. This is a HUUUUUGE picnic/camping blanket! See picture with (large) cat for scale. The top material with the graphic on it is nice and soft, although I can see it getting a little bit warm for a place like Texas where we get over 100° weather. The bottom material is shiny and slick, so it won't pock up dirt or grass. The weight of the blanket is pretty light, and it folds up to a messenger bag size. You can see the size scale in the picture where I'm carrying it - I am 5'2 and 115 lbs for reference so if you're not a tiny person it will be nice and easy to carry. I love that the design is on the Velcro flap to give it some style, and the Velcro works well/the balnket is pretty easy to fold up, as long as you pay attention to how it was folded the first time you open it. All the stitches look good, pretty sturdy constructions. One thing I wish was a little thicker is the carrying strap. This type of material can get brittle if it's out in the sun and I could see the blanket lasting years but the strap getting worn down faster. This is my only mild complain, and of course it is something I won't know until years later. With that said, I do think this blanket will last for years to come and that it may be a bit pricey, but if you want to fit the whole family on one blanket at the beach, park, camping/nature area, this will get the job done. Plus, the design is very beautiful with the orange sun and bright colors. I can safely say this is a good purchase!
