Great book - sound and actionable.

This is a wonderful book that I became aware of when the author visited our church. His teaching sermon left us hungry for more and he was gracious to extend his teaching for almost two hours at our request. Jesus and the Nations shows much evidence in the Gospel that the disciples and we as believers in the Lord are to undertake the Great Commission in our community, nation and world. It breaks down the various roles in the commission and how they interact with each other taking elements from the OT and NT. It is unlike any other book I have read in its detail. You will be able to find your role(s) and may even be surprised that you were already operating in it. This book moves one away from small thinking to fulfilling Jesus' Commission and ultimately to do the Father's Will - 'Thy Kingdom come, Thy Will be done here on earth as it is in Heaven'. The book is freeing in a way knowing we don't have to do it all but we do have a role to play. One of the areas I found fascinating is the scribal role and how the law in the Bible should be approached in the restoration of the Kingdom of God through His Son, Jesus. The book is definitely one you will refer back to in this study but also others as it brings in other nuggets and correlations in other areas of the Bible you may be doing. Would definitely buy again and recommend to others. Please, this material is not one of the take a quiz and find your role, that you see for free online. This is a sound theological work that has added clarity and a roadmap to this topical study of the restoration of God's Kingdom.
