Great tape !

This is the best painter's tape I have ever used. I tried other brand that didn't stick very well and let the paint bleed in. I used this early this morning. Stuck very well and no edge bleed. I will be sticking with this brand.

Easy to Apply | Lines Not Crisp | Still Good Tape

Tape Review ADHESIVE PROPERTIES AND TESTS: I cut a strip of this tape and of the most popular brand of blue tape and tested how much force it took to remove the tape after it had been thoroughly pressed down with the back of my fingernail. On a glass-top scale I pressed on a 25x25mm section of each of the brands of tape. This tape began to break loose at about 75 grams of upward force and it took about 125 grams of force to remove it completely. The famous OG tape required a little more force at 80 grams to begin to lift and 135 grams to completely remove. So the OG blue is definitely a little stickier. ____________________________________________________ PHOTO TEST (see photos): For this test I placed a small piece of tape in two corners of a color photo and then pulled them off. The OG blue tape pulled off quite a bit more of the ink from the photo than this tape did. ______________________________________________________ CRISP AND CLEAN LINES (see photos): I used some $48 per gallon latex paint for this test. A strip of each tape was placed on a finished wood surface and firmly pressed down with the back of my fingernail. The OG blue was the clear winner here with very passable sharp lines. This tape had some bleeding. Most tapes will bleed and the pro tip is to always caulk in your tape to prevent this bleed or use a specialty tape which has special properties that further reduce bleed. ____________________________________________________ CONCLUSION AND DO I RECOMMEND: In spite of the fact that the tape does not produce crisp clear lines, that doesn't make it not worthy of a recommendation. I recommend using this tape for semi-delicate (not as delicate as a photo) finishes that you want to protect maybe from over-spray or other contaminations that would otherwise harm your work. Beware of reviewers that say this tape and other tapes are horrible. If your surface is not properly prepared and you don't follow directions, no tape is going to perform as advertised. Also, if you apply even the best of tapes that are not supposed to pull finish off, I assure you they will. The biggest mistake I see people make is to apply tape to latex paints. Just because a latex paint is dry to the touch or even if it has been drying for a day or two, it will still lift. And if it was applied to an ill-prepared surface, it's gonna come off regardless of dry and cure time. Latex and water-based acrylics can take up to and over a month to fully cure. BTW, I have about 10 years of pro painting experience and over 40 years of DIY experience. If there is a mistake to be made, I've probably made it at least once. Final Note: It is odd that this tape required more force to lift than the OG blue, but pulled off less of the photo ink. I have no idea why. Other than maybe the adhesives are specifically designed for rougher surfaces than glass. Also, tape is too dark to write on using a black marker on and have any readability.
