I really like these beach shorts. The material seems durable, is very lightweight yet seems very sturdy. Great stitching. Nice draw string at the waist. The unique pattern makes a great addition to my rotation. Comfortable fit - not too large, not tight. I like that there is room in the shorts so that you can sit down without any binding. The inner liner works well, too. Each front side has a discreet zippered pocket hidden in a recess. There's room enough inside each to accommodate a small waterproof double-locking Ziplock mini-wallet (not included), so I use one that detaches from a pair of my Speedo trunks. It can keep all safe and dry - my ID, a couple of loose keys (without any key ring), and a credit card and some cash for lunch. The right hip side has a flap pocket without any Velcro tab for closure. I wouldn't keep anything in that pocket. It has a nice aesthetic appeal, however. It washes well by hand in a dishpan with some Woolite or some mild dish detergent. It rinses well. My recommendation would be to just place it wet on a clean white bath towel, smooth it out to prevent any wrinkles from setting in, and let it dry out. You shouldn't wring it or squeeze it or fold it wet. Just pay attention and be patient. After a while, just let it air dry draped over the back of a chair (avoid leather chairs, just use something that is vinyl or plastic) with a terry cloth underneath. The pattern looks great and wears great. Call it a 10. .
