A Very Very Comfortable Chair!
I'm very pleased with this purchase. Before I review it and say why I love it...because I do...I have one comment on the con side. There is a note that comes with this furniture kit...stating that you jneed to make sure you're happy with everything before you open the vacuum sealed cushions. Because they're compacted, and once you open that and they expand, they stay they are no longer returnable. My box arrived bulging open at the top, the cardboard was filthy, and the top was sloppily taped, and the box was bursting open at the top seam. The cushions WERE NOT VACUUM PACK OR SEALED upon arrival!! Those cushions had opened inside the box at some point in shipping. The box re-taped. I would've had to go round and round with trying to return this, because I was not the one who unsealed those compressed cushions. Fortunately I have no need or desire to return this chair, as it's perfect for me. Prettier than I see in many of the furniture stores, and more well-made. Now that that remark is out of the way, I have only pro comments to make. The cushions in the material are well-made and they are clean. They say to give it about 24 hours and they will expand more and become more comfortable as they expand more. It was just me and it took me under 30 minutes, maybe about 20 to 25 minutes to put together. You have to make sure you follow the instructions and only tighten the screws 70% until all of them are in and all of the steps of assembling the chair have been completed with the frame. Then you go back and tighten everything. Also you need to make sure that you don't go rogue, and decide to do those steps in your own order. You won't be happy with the outcome. The chair goes together very very easily, clear instructions, and all the pieces were present. Included...are two little packets that Say..."Spare." I am clueless as to what those little spare things are for, but there they are. And here there's one more thing that I am not thrilled with but it's OK. The little plugs that fill the holes after assembly, to cover screws. They direct you to put the "cork" pieces, or plugs, in. In no universe are these cork. They're cheap looking little plastic buttons, that don't match very well the color of the wood. And that's a shame, because this is a beautiful chair with beautiful wood. They needed to maintain quality there, and they did not. But it is not a deal breaker. The tilt to the back is very ergonomic. It could've leaned back just a tiny bit more but it's still comfortable and once you rest your head back it's pretty comfortable to very comfortable. I can see myself once I use my little ottoman with it, sitting a good number of hours here reading should I to want to on a rainy day. I purchased two of these chairs. One with a tall back, and one with the regular back. This review is on the tall back chair that I just finished putting together.
