My wife has had this chair for a couple of months and it not very sturdy. The seat after a month is hard and can't understand how it can be rated for 700lbs. As for sitting in it for a long time I would not recommend. Both my wife and I are under 300lbs. Neither one of us can use it more than 4 hours until our back side starts to hurt. It is not very sturdy either. We ended up getting a known brand and is only rated for 325lbs. This chair is not well-designed. If you need a chair for long lengths of time try a different one.
