I'm always cold. It doesn't make financial sense to turn up the thermostat, and make the whole house warmer when I'm the only one who is cold. I've bought electric blankets and throws for years, and am a bit of a connoisseur at this point, and this is a very nice one! It is warm and cozy. The two-sided texture is great - unusually pleasant and soft for such a blanket. It gets nice and warm, but not super hot on the highest setting. I wouldn't mind if one got a bit warmer than this one does. I got the "throw" size (same as "crib" size) and it is great to throw over my lap while I work at the computer, or to add as a layer to the bed at night just for me, while my husband enjoys sleeping a bit cooler without one. The control has several heat settings, and timer for 2, 4, 6 or 10 hours. Enthusiastically recommend!
