The chair that should have been named “The Windbreaker”
I caught this chair on the Walmart app for $30, so I figured it would either make a great Christmas gift or a good chair just to tote to ballgames on rainy days. Upon arrival (which was quick yay Walmart and FedEx) the chair was nicely packaged and arrived free of damage. I was surprised at the weight of the chair, but I will mark this up as made of good quality parts and hoping it will last me long enough to get $30 use.
Here are a couple of my biggest takeaways on the build:
•The chair is made of a thick material, which is great seeing as it’s heavy and quilted, this material will help block wind on a cold fall night near a campfire or at a ballgame.
•The material is completely enclosed from arm rest to armrest, which is great for blocking the wind. (It may be obvious at this point, but I hate a cold draft.) I really like this because the chair feels more like a recliner and is extremely comfy. The widened shape just makes for a comfy seat.
•It does have a buckle to help hold the chair closed which may sound strange but the chair has a strap firmly attached to the back side so you can carry it without the storage bag. I did think the buckle could use a little extra strap for length adjustment because I did struggle getting it closed, so I’m unsure as to how long that will hold up.
•Storage- it has the regular drink holder and a more rectangular holder. Not exactly sure what that is for but it’s great for sitting your phone in with keys or a candy bar? Really anything misc.
For the $30 I spent on it, I’d say this is a heck of a chair to buy if you spend any amount of time outside on a cool night. I would recommend this chair. (Needless to say I decided to keep the chair for myself and purchase a different gift for Christmas!)
