Size of the Chime
Choose a chime based on the location it will be placed. A wide-open space deserves an oversized chime, whereas a small, more enclosed location would be ideal for smaller chimes.

Anatomy of the Chime
Top Piece - The large disk, usually wooden, at the top of the chime that acts as the support piece for chime tubes and suspension top line.
- Woodstock Wind Chimes can come with 1 of 6 kinds of suspension tops.
- O-ring, Diamond, Single String Loop, Multi-String Loop, Hook, or an Alligator Clamp.
Clapper - The center piece of wood or other material that actually strikes the tubes to create sound from the chime.

- Every tube is carefully tuned to specific notes, resonate when hit by the clapper, producing musical tones.
