CAT 542-6493 ELC Advanced Extended Life Coolant Concentrate – 1 Gallon Bottles (Case of 6) Cat ELC Advanced is a premium extended life coolant concentrate developed, tested, and approved by Caterpillar to meet the same rigorous standards as all Genuine Cat Parts. This case includes (6) one-gallon bottles designed for fleet, commercial, and heavy-duty applications. Extended Service Life Cat ELC Advanced lasts at least twice as long as Diesel Engine Antifreeze/Coolant (DEAC) in Cat machines and commercial engines and up to three times as long in Cat truck engines. When used with SOS℠ monitoring, drain intervals can reach up to 20,000 hours. No supplemental coolant additives (SCAs) are required. Cat Extender is added once at half-life of the coolant to maintain optimal protection. Advanced Organic Acid Inhibitor Technology Formulated with specialized organic acid additive inhibitors to provide superior corrosion protection for copper, solder, brass, steel, cast iron, and aluminum components. Provides excellent aluminum protection in high-temperature applications and protects against cylinder liner/block pitting and cavitation erosion. Concentrate – Dilution Required This product is a concentrate and must be diluted with ion-free water before use. The concentrate formula allows freeze-point protection below that of premixed coolant (-34°F / -37°C premix equivalent).
