Great auto robot for window cleaning

The robot is definitely beyond my expectations. Strong suction on the windows and swing between the two arm make the cleaning process smooth and easy. Very efficiently clean and no need human work any work. Easy and safe. Worth the price.

Amazing cleaning capacity, poor instruction manual

The robot works incredibly well once you figure out how to use it. As with most things made in China, the instruction manual is not only oddly worded, but woefully uninformative. Personally, I prefer to have the manual give me clear, complete instructions, rather than have to experiment and hope I don't break something if I guess wrong. For example, the icon in the instructions showing where to add cleaning solution ought to match the icon on the machine. And the instructions should tell you the tank capacity so you don't overfill it and have solution dripping down the outside of a device that you are warned not to get wet. Fortunately, the item's description on the Walmart web site gives the tank capacity as 2.02 fluid ounces (just over 1/4 cup.) Unfortunately, that is a lie. Between the two tanks, it holds about 1.5 fluid ounces. My other beef with this machine is that it cannot be used without the remote. So make sure you do not lose the remote, or break it, or allow your puppy to get hold of it, or the entire robot is useless. All that being said, you might expect that I would not recommend this robot. But, in fact, I would absolutely buy it again. While it is not worth setting it all up to clean the inside of just one window, it is great if you want to do a roomful of windows inside and out. It does a surprisingly good job of cleaning. Very nearly as good as I can do by hand on the inside, and far better (and more safely) than I can do on the outside of my second story windows. The suction that holds it to the window is strong enough that I have no qualms about letting it do its job 12 feet over my concrete patio (with the safety rope attached, of course). Only the bottom sashes of my windows tilt for cleaning, and the aforementioned concrete patio prevents me from being willing to lean put to wash the top fixed pane. So up until now, I have had to be satisfied with cleaning the outsides of my second story windows with window cleaner that attaches to a garden hose — which is only marginally better than doing nothing. It is amazing how nice it is to look through windows that are truly clean inside and out! The directions do tell you that you can pretreat windows that have sand or dust by spraying water on the glass before running the robot. Note that this step is essential for dog snot as well. (Yes, my dogs believe that barking at a squirrel requires them to touch their noses to the pane, rather than back off half an inch. After all, if the window suddenly dematerializes and they decide to jump 12 feet down to the concrete patio to chase the squirrel, that half inch head start will make the difference in catching the squirrel or not!) When I first ran the robot over the snot-crusted panes, it did no good whatsoever. But then I pre-sprayed the window with cleaning solution and ran it again. This time resulting in sparkling clean windows! Except for the inadequate manual and required remote, I couldn't be more pleased.
