The mirror does require wiring, it offers 2 options tho.. it can either be hard wired or it comes with a plug, that can be wired to it. Im not comfortable hard wiring the mirror myself so I went with the plug option. The wires are tiny and took a little work connecting them to the plug. There is a picture in the manual showing where to connect the wires to the plug. I feel like the mirror would probably be easy to hard wire for those who are capable of doing this. Being able to hard wire would probably hide the wires a lot better also.. with it plugged in, the wire is very visible and has to be plugged in somewhere. It comes with all the necessary hardware to hang the morror.. it has brackets to mount to the wall, that the mirror hangs on to. Its a beautiful mirror and functions exactly as it should. It has 3 lighting options and each setting can be adjusted for brightness. It has a de-fog option, I havent got the pleasure of using yet, but it's a really neat feature. Im really happy I ordered the mirror and excited to hang and use it! 5 stars for functionality and design!
