The filter uses electrostatic filtration, which attracts particles using a special synthetic filter media. Made of 100% high performance Tribo-Electric synthetic media, this filter takes electrostatic filtration to the next level. The material is a co-polymer blend that creates higher efficiency with low resistance to air flow. It is also hydrophobic, meaning it will not absorb moisture or support the growth of harmful microbes like bacteria, mildew, fungi, and mold.
The pleated shape of the filter maximizes air flow and particle-holding capacity. The pleated media is laminated to a recyclable, galvanized, and corrosion resistant metal backing for increased durability. The filter is housed in a two-piece die cut frame constructed of a heavy duty, moisture resistant, clay coated board with diagonal and horizontal grid supports.
