Awesome sleek look, keeps sun out. Good quality

These were hung fairly easily by my husband in about an hour, tops, including trimming the panels to our desired length. They are fabric/paper mix panels are thick enough that they block the sun with no gaps between panels either. They are good quality, not great, but excellent for the price. They give the room a very sleek, modern look. They have no wand, but my husband drilled a hole into the plastic tab that the panels attach to, and attached a ceiling fan pull chain to the panel so that they can be pulled closed easily. The panels glide exceptionally smoothly. Panels velcro on to the tabs on the track at the top. Each panel is weighted with a bar at the bottom, which is why you can trim them to length. It gives them a very finished, clean look. Good price compared to other sets out there. SO GLAD to be rid of vertical blinds!!! Only listed "EXPECTATIONS & FEATURES" as GOOD, and not EXCELLENT, because there was no wand to pull shut and the fabric is supposed to have a paper mix in it. It looks fine, but just think that thick 100% fabric would have been better. Overall, VERY happy with this purchase.

    Great

My wife and I were tired of the mini and verticle blinds in our house that constantly bind up and look like...well you know. We had purchased these for our patio door from another retailer and then found these window versions here. The installation is a bit tricky with the some-what vague instructions. I am not the most handy person in the world but was able to hang the patio door ones in about an hour with her help holding things while I tightened and what not. The windows took me about half hour each after that. They look very nice and modern. One draw back is the window can never be fully visible. You can slide all panels to one side or the other or split them two and two to the sides but you will always have some portion of the window obscured. Or if you want the panels remove easy from the rod because they are attached by velcro but then you have to find a place to store them safely while they are down. Putting them back up is a sinch. All-in-all we like them and think they are ten times better than the mini blinds we had on the windows or verticle blinds on the door.

    Good alternative to vertical blinds

I bought this to replace the vertical blinds on a sliding patio door. It installed easily, and looks pretty good, especially considering the price. It's certainly not as nice as the custom panel track systems that sell for 3-4 times the price, but it satisfies my needs. The track is roll-formed aluminum, and the rollers are plastic, making the sliding action not as smooth as a more expensive system would be. It occasionally gets "stuck" while closing, and needs a little push from the other end; no big deal for me. The fabric is quite thin and has a white backing material applied, but still does a great job of blocking light and providing privacy. I'd say it's almost 100% opaque. The fabric panels came rolled up and were mostly smooth, but had a few wrinkles from being boxed up. I was able to get good results ironing out the wrinkles with a dry iron on VERY low heat (setting #1-2 out of 8), and carefully ironing the fabric face down (ironing the back side only). I tested on the pieces that were cut off when adjusting the length, and any higher heat setting would begin to melt the fabric. Also, the front is almost like a faux-suede texture and applying any heat directly to that side would also cause damage to the fabric.
