This rod is a beast! its built for heavy duty Big fish. Surprisingly easy to handle. Comes ready to fish with the spool already loaded with line and an assortment of lures and hooks and more. Being a ZEBCO, it is quality built to last for years of fishing fun. This is THE ROD if your passion is catfishing. Also a great river rod for that unexpected monster you may hook. A must have for any serious fishermen.

My new favorite catfish rig!
I love this combo. The rod is nice and heavy for pulling in the big flatheads or blues. The reel is surprisingly smooth for the price with a 5:1 ratio and multiple bearings. I prefer a rear drag system, but the front drag on this is very smooth and highly adjustable. The little tackle box even has elastic on it to bind the 2 rod halves together for transport. And it comes with the perfect terminal tackle and dip worms for catfish.
