1967 Dodge Dart Swap

Learned quite a bit with this swap, once I figured out some of the nuance. I learned that the large sector shaft needs to be used on A Bodies, and that the gear box swap works better if you do not have any sort of quick ratio Pitman and Idler arms. That makes the turning a little glitchy if you have the quick ratio. If you have any aftermarket front suspension components already on the car, the stiffness of the steering with be magnified. I have a full QA1 front suspension on the car that was installed prior to the steering box, and it is pretty stiff, just be ready.

Great feel

If you have driven an old mopar with powersteering you know the over assisted feel they have theirs no road feel at all. Tire technology has greatly improved over the years so ive alway had a greater need for a more positive road feel. This steering box is awsome great feel for the road a little smaller giving you better header clearance. Installing the box was pretty stright forward hardest part was cutting the steering column and installing the borgeson u joint coupler which is not included it not that hard. I just wanted to make sure measure 2 or 3 times install the column in and out of the car a couple times just to make sure it was right before i cut the column. Great addition to my car that i will enjoy for years to come.
