Great Garden Shed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] I needed to free up some room in my garage and have a dedicated space in the backyard for my lawn tools and gardening supplies. This Lifetime 8' x 5' shed is the perfect size to hold everything. We started off by building a level wooden foundation using the easy to follow instructions that were included. The instructions for building the shed were detailed, illustrated and all the parts labeled. I was able to do most of the building myself until it came to putting up the walls and roof, when you will need one person to hold the walls or roof panels in place while the other person screws them together. We gave about 18" of clearance behind the shed that came in handy to place a ladder when installing the roof panels. It came with a long shelf that installs across the back wall and 6 hooks for hanging your tools. The natural light from the door windows and skylights make it easy to find what you need during the day. We have experienced several weeks of rain since building this shed a few months ago and have not seen any indication of water inside the shed. Overall, I am very pleased with this attractive, durable, high quality shed and look forward to a lifetime of use.

Great Little Shed

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] The Lifetime 8'x5' shed is a great little shed! It wasn't overly difficult to put together, albeit time consuming. I spent roughly 5 hours building this shed. 95% of the work can be done solo, but there were a couple of instances where I needed someone else around to hold a piece in place while I screwed the pieces together. I feel like if you're a generally handy person, you won't have any trouble putting this together. The instructions were clear and easy to follow, but you need to pay attention to detail and make sure everything is installed correctly so you don't have to backtrack and fix anything. Pay attention to the steps that suggest not using a drill, as I broke one of the screw holds on the skylight by tightening it too tight. One thing I would recommend is putting down cardboard or something while working on the pieces so nothing gets scratched. The shed itself is really well built, I feel like it will hold up well over time. My only complaint is that some of the holes aren't punched all the way through, and I had to spend some time punching these out with a small screwdriver. Not a huge deal, it just slows you down a little bit. Overall, I'm really pleased with the shed and am excited to put it to use.

Sturdy, Spacious, and Simple: A Great Backyard Storage Solution

[This review was collected as part of a promotion.] We recently assembled this Lifetime shed and were thoroughly impressed with the overall quality and design. It took two people five to six hours collectively to complete the build, which felt very reasonable given the size and sturdiness of the shed. We would rate it moderately easy to build (even with the second person assisting being vertically challenged). Assembly: The instructions were very clear and organized, which made the process smooth from start to finish. Usually when we build things, we are looking up "how to" videos on the internet, but we never even felt the need. Everything was laid out step-by-step with helpful illustrations and easy reference items. The roof panels were especially easy to install- they snapped right into place with minimal effort. The only part that gave us a bit of trouble was the door installation with putting the door hinge pin in, which required some extra time and coordination to align properly. Build Quality: The shed is noticeably more solid and stable than other brands we've used in the past (not Lifetime). The sturdy design gives it a very weather-resistant feel. Once assembled, it felt incredibly sturdy- no wobbling or flexing, even in windy conditions. Favorite features: -Ease of assembly: The intuitive design and clear instructions made this our favorite part of the experience. -Spacious interior: There is plenty of room for a lawn mower, tools, and more! -Attractive and neutral design: We loved how well the neutral color scheme goes- it almost looks like it matched our house and we loved that! It would look good next to any house. The texture of the shed is a wood grain imitation that gave it a natural look. The large shelf and hooks were an added bonus to help us organize tools and lawn care equipment. -Double lock door system: Very secure with the door locking into the floor and into the roof, ensuring security and durability. We would buy again!
