Replacement carburetor rebuild kit for all 2003 Arctic Cat 500 FIS, TBX, and TRV models equipped with the Keihin CVK36 (36mm) carburetor. The 2003 Arctic Cat 500 represented the third generation of the Suzuki 493cc-powered platform. The liquid cooling system uses a thermostat-controlled radiator mounted ahead of the engine for precise temperature management regardless of ambient conditions or load levels. The TRV variant was Arctic Cat's response to growing demand for two-up recreational riding, adding a passenger seat to the 500 platform for the first time. The longer wheelbase improved straight-line stability while the full independent suspension at all four corners maintained the composed handling that distinguished Arctic Cat from competitors. The TBX dump bed model carried over from 2002 with its tilting cargo bed for property maintenance and farm work. The CVK36 carburetor features constant-velocity slide operation where engine vacuum automatically controls the throttle slide position through a rubber diaphragm. Common rebuild triggers include fuel overflow from degraded float valves after storage and rough idle from ethanol-damaged pilot circuit components. Kit uses NBR rubber for ethanol resistance.
