The 397cc air-cooled OHV dry-sump engine with 85mm bore and 70mm stroke is longitudinally mounted and paired with Honda's innovative fully automatic hydromechanical CVT transmission with electronic controls for seamless power delivery. The independent double-wishbone front suspension and swingarm rear suspension each provide 5.9 inches of travel for a smooth, controlled ride. Front triple-sealed hydraulic drum brakes and rear sealed mechanical drum brakes ensure confident stopping. At 559 lbs dry weight with a 3.8-gallon fuel tank, the Rancher 400 was Honda's midsize utility ATV workhorse. This kit provides all necessary components for a thorough overhaul of the Keihin 36mm CV carburetor. NBR rubber O-rings resist ethanol-blended fuels. Float bowl gaskets upgraded to high performance interface gasket material.
