Bought this because it is about 1/2" wider than my last door. One dog has gained weight due to an illness. Make sure you understand the cutout drawing. The cutout is a rectangle. My installer didn't add 3/8" to each side. He had to re-cut the opening and it was still too small. His small gap made the assembly difficult but it works fine.

Worth Every Penny

This doggie door was a replacement for the same one we bought years ago and I was happy that it was still available. I love the stiff door, because it always closes without leaving a gap. I have to say that installing this door isn't real easy and requires a helper when it comes to actually joining the inside and outside halves together; considering how long the door lasts I think it's worth the effort. The inside photo was taken with the security door in place, and the other one is from the outside. The reason the door had to be replaced was that the outside part of it dry rotted from old age and maybe just being in Florida.
