Very impressive out of the box

Right out of the box I am very impressed! I've put seat heaters in several vehicles and this is possibly the best quality set I've had. The materials are quality, the solder points are clean and even insulated, the cable length is ample, the directions are well printed and clear. It's August (purchased in preparation for winter) so they won't be used regularly for a while, so let's hope they work and last as well as they seem out of the gate.

Its HOT!

I will share a tip to install these. If you want them to heat up in seconds, I mean feeling heat by the time your hand moves off the switch, here is what to do. It may not work for all cars, but I know it works on many Fords (lear seats). When you remove the seat cover, you will notice there is leather and a thick foam padding. If you carefully slit the padding before and after the listing seams, and create slices so there is a compartment to slip in the pad. You can apply a bit of spray adhesive(some are heat rated) to the top and bottom of the heat pad but it usually isn't necessary. Just glue the pad to the foam using its strips(not the leather, it is not flexible). You will pass fold over the seams and carefully follow the listing tabs. If you are really good with a sewing machine you can remove the threads and stitch everything in (totally optional). That way you only need one slit. On older cars with heated seats that is exactly how it was done. They would use a snaked thin wire instead of the carbon fiber. If you install under the foam (the suggested way) and the foam is very thick it will take longer to heat up, maybe 2-4 minutes(even more sometimes). Also, no matter how you install it if you have velcro holddowns and the pad must pass over it you can create some small holes for the velcro. I've found though that the seat cover never looks perfect (definitely acceptable) because it can't grip the foam tight at the ends. I don't know any solution to that (possibly spray adhesive or extra velcro strips on the pad).
