Works just like Mucinex Max, thin ing respiratory mucus and moisturizing. Generic name is Guaifenesin. My doctor prescribed this for me as soon as he learned that Guaifenesin Extended Release (Regular Strength Mucinex) was out as a prescription. With my very bad allergies, using it regularly twice a day significantly reduced my allergic migraines and frequent respiratory infections. Plus it kept nose and sinuses moisturized. Im sure that the years of Mucinex keping lung passages moist explains developing asthma later has stayed so mild.
