Just what I was looking for
I looked on Amazon and found nothing I liked so I went to Walmart's website and found it. It was the only model that suited my need and it was cheap. I set it up and it wobbles a bit but it's sturdy, and they made the holes too big for the little plugs that it sits on. Though it will hold four bikes easily and it won't fall over with two on one side and none on the other. It saves space in my garage and is short enough that I put it under where the door rolls up.
Works as expected
I received mine today and when I opened the package it was in another box. The screws and bolts were loose in the box so be careful taking packages out. I was able to put it together in about 30 minutes because I had to drill the 2 of the predrilled holes a bit wider for the screws to catch and turn on the base. The hooks that hold the bikes are adjustable and move side to side to hug the frame of your bike and the rubber cap falls out, looks like it is to prevent scratching. I like that all the hooks are adjustable. It fits snuggly in our corner of the garage and we have it caddy corner so the kids can take their bikes off themselves without moving the entire rack out.
valuable lesson
After storing 3 bikes last year and taking up valuable room in my garage I was looking for a better and safer way to take care of my bikes. this free standing rack holds all my bikes and left me room even for the carrier. Wish I had thought of this heavy well constructed device before!
