Buon Vino Mini Jet Wine Filter

The Mini Jet has a new look!!!! We have replaced the gear pump with a new pump. Also please note that the pump and motor are what is different. The function and set up is identical to the previous style. We (Buon Vino Manufacturing) had to make this change for a number of reasons and some of the positive changes are: 1. This is a true self prime pump! It is no longer a gear pump 2. It is extremely quiet 3. It is lighter 4. We can now supply a pre-screen filter with this pump – because the fitting size now corresponds with the size of the pre-screen fitting. Note: When ordering you will need to specify that the pre-screen is for the Mini Jet (the Super Jet has a different size fitting) The pre-screen filter is highly recommended if you use oak chips, elderberries or wish to use the pump to rack their wine! The Pre-Screen filter will not allow any large solids to get inside the pump and cause damage – we recommend this to all home winemakers when purchasing a Mini Jet. We (at Buon Vino Manufacturing) believe that change is good, especially when it is positive change. All functionality of this new pump, pressures and flow rates are the same as the gear pump and will work as effectively! Filtering clears wine by removing fermentation debris and some of the yeast, preventing these materials from breaking down during aging and thereby increasing the wine’s stability. Stable wines are less likely to change their appearance and taste over time. When a significant amount of the microscopic organisms that could restart fermentation are removed, the amount of preservatives can be reduced. Filtering also accelerates the wine’s evolution by preventing the formation of sediment, ‘force aging’ the wine for a smoother taste while still young. For most winemakers, the most important step in the winemaking process is the filtering. From the best filtering equipment, properly matched to the correct Filter Pads, come the clearest, most inviting, sediment-free wines. Every Buon Vino Wine Filter is designed with a specific pump flow rate and pressure that are matched to the specified Buon Vino Filter Pad. To enjoy optimum results, it is essential to ensure that the correct Filter Pads are used every time.
