pretty much indestructible

this bow case is pretty much indestructible!! I've flown with it twice now and the first time I watched the baggage handlers just launch it onto the conveyor belt. I was so worried that my equipment would be broken. But it wasnt!! one piece of advice make sure when you screw in the grommets for the velcro straps dont over tighten the screws!!

Worth the Money

Well, I've seen Plano cases before and you pretty much got what you paid for. I needed a case for my Bowtech Assassin SD and while this wasn't that cheap, it didn't break the bank either. I was expecting the typical thin plastic case but was surprised to find something a little better. The pastic is thick enough to not worry about what I have inside. The pillar lock feature also adds extra comfort of knowing my gear is safe. -Internals are simple but they work. It is very customizable and should fit pretty much any compound bow that fits the internal diameter, as there are multiple anchor spots for the velcro tie-downs. My bow doesn't move an inch when being shaken around with the case open. -The locks on the two outer latches are nice too. Inserting the key is a little rough but it's not like it needs to be ultra-smooth either. -As others have stated, it comes with two straps to secure whatever extra gear you want. -Some have complained about the quiver adaptors not coming with the case but its not really necessary. There are many different types of quivers out there so trying to accomodate everyone can be a logistical nightmare. I just went to my local shop and bought an extra quiver mount for ONE DOLLAR. I screwed my adapter in and clipped in my quiver. JUST MAKE SURE YOU USE BIGGER SCREWS THAN WHAT IS PROVIDED FOR THE QUIVER! My quiver mount was kind of thick so the screws the case came with didn't really secure it well since they were too short. Once i put in the longer screws in I was able to LIFT THE ENTIRE CASE WITH ALL GEAR INSIDE IT BY LIFTING JUST THE QUIVER ITSELF. That, to me, says a lot (even though I had to find a couple longer screws myself). -The arrow holders are nice. I installed both of them so it can hold 12 arrows as well as the 5 in my quiver. That makes 17 total arrows for me. -My only issue, (which is not really an issue), is that it is a bit heavier than I expected. But I guess that just shows that the case is fairly sturdy. Recommendations: DO NOT OVERTIGHTEN SCREWS! 1/8 of a turn should be enough torque to hold ANY of the straps down. If you're still unsure, use longer screws or throw on some epoxy on the screws for that extra strength. Overall: It's definitely worth the price Walmart offers it for. I like to take care of my things, and it shows by the amount of Pelican cases I have in my home. Do I regret getting this case for my bow? Heck no, I'd do it again... and I probably will once my wife and daughter get their bows in christmas.
