Tens Years After's first album was 'live' or as they had it, Undead. It was recorded live at the small jazz club, Klooks Kleek, in London, May 1968, and released in August of that year. The show combined blues, boogie and jazz playing that merged more traditional rock and roll with 1950's-style jump blues. The album quot;amply illustratesquot; Alvin Lee's quot;eclecticquot; use of the pentatonic scale mixed with other modalities. A well produced quot;livequot; album in 1968 that sounds a bit ahead of it's time. Most quot;livequot; stuff from this period was bad, not this. Hard heavy jamming blues tunes with an occasional slower track. The guitar blazes throughout and the original of quot;I'm Going Homequot; is spectacular. The original 60s album had five songs. This release has a bonus CD, BBC quot;David Symonds Showquot; live version, BBC quot;Top Gearquot; Session Live version is listed, including 11 added.
