Thicker than expected, especially for the price. Took a bit to get adjusted (my hsir is not even shoulder length)...the mesh net that csme with it wasn't successful for me so just pinned hair and added a couple of bobby pins by ears, out of sight, to help hold in place. Overall, I love it and plan to try to style with braids, pulling back.
