I'm so glad I got this pressure cooker. It comes with two different lids so you can use it as a pressure cooker or a regular pot. It heats up evenly, and works great on any stove—induction, gas, ceramic, electric, or halogen. I don't have to worry about random hot spots burning my food. Since it is solid stainless steel, there are no cheap non-stick coatings to scratch off into dinner, and the main pot is completely dishwasher safe. The 5.8-quart size is large enough for me to cook a meal for my entire family. Locking the pressure lid down is simple and can be done with one hand, which feels safer than those old-school twist lids. It cuts cooking times down, and I was shocked by how easy it was to make rice in it. It takes almost no time at all, and the rice comes out perfectly fluffy without getting sticky or clumping together.

This is my first experience with a pressure cooker. I was very nervous about not using it correctly. No need to fear, this pressure cooker is very safe and easy to use. I love that it has an extra lid so you can use it as a regular pot too. I would suggest other newbies research how to use it before using the pressure cooker. I started with 2 very large chicken breast that I am going to feed to my dog as a test run. I threw in some water, brussel sprouts, carrots, and seasoning. The vegetables were perfect. Better than pot boiled or steamed. This cooker has endless possibilities. It looks very nice. The lid is so shiny it is like a mirror. The lid is easy to get off and on. It doesn't heat up the kitchen and create humidity like other pots. I would suggest using a rack or trivet for most meats and some vegetables. The chicken was a little more difficult to get tender, but that was my fault because I didn't know I was supposed to use a rack or trivet, I used too much water, and I don't like boiled chicken. My dog loved it! He laid in front of the oven the whole time it was cooking. I eventually cooked the chicken properly and it was tender and flavorful. This pressure cooker is going to be a staple in my kitchen. The metal round piece with holes goes on the inside of the lid. It comes with silicone heatproof mits that are easy to use. I am so happy I purchased this pressure cooker. Easy to clean. Super fast shipping, and packaged well for shipping.
