I went outside the normal use on this and it works

When my kids were young, we added two rescue dogs to our family, both of which grew to a larger dog. We have a dog door in our home that opens to their pen in the back yard and as a labor of love the kids and I built a large covered area that the dog door opens upon, allowing the dogs to exit in any weather without immediately hitting rain or snow. It was a blast to build with the kids and dogs that grabbed any tool we set down and ran off with it. Stepping off the covered area is a step of around 14 inches to the ground, which was no issue when the dogs were younger. Fast forward 14 years and the remaining dog is in her twilight years and struggling with that step. This ramp fit like it was made for that step and is better than anything I could have designed and built myself. Now there is a very gradual ramp up and down for her to use.

You can teach an old a new trick!

Our 11 1/2 y/o lab used this for the first time this weekend. I watched the training video but neglected to pre-introduce her to this until it was time to use it the first time. I gave her a couple treats and then positioned a few up the ramp into the back of our Outback. Normally she is skittish about new things, but she scampered right up into the car, and down again when we got home! Worth every penny!

Life Saver For Senior Dogs

I recently purchased this to prepare for a trip I was taking. My 11 year old golden retriever is having a harder and harder time getting into the car and she is happiest when she gets to go for rides too. It took a few tries and a lot of trust from my dog but everything worked out well. Highly recommend for anyone that doesn't want to have to leave your senior dog at home
