Volant CAI 1988 Chevy

I have shorty headers a large bore TPI and this CAI certainly made a difference. Obvious the air volume was choked out by the small stock air cleaner snorkel!

Solid build quality, but did not fit as described.

Ordered for 1989 K1500. Box fit fender perfectly, but seals for tube weren't ideal. Tube would not clear factory egr assembly bracket and AC support. Contacted Volant tech and was advised CAI kit was designed after my model year, and there are possible differences on models before 1995. Was told to relocate bracketry. Advised tech I bought it based on no mods required. Decided to build my own, and returned it to Jeg's. I would definitely recommend this based on build quality, but need to mention the possibility of modifications. Per Volant tech it's not a direct fit on pre-1995 K1500's, so 3 stars for no mention of "relocation" required in instructions. 5 stars for Jeg's return policy and prices. Best in the business...why go anywhere else.
