Very lightweight, but really holds warmth in- I usually end up throwing this off as it warms up overnight (we live on the coast and the cold snaps don't last long.) It is a very light silver gray color. If you look at the pics, the window shades are a true gray, the pillow covers are a very dark true gray, and the octopus on the headboard is a dark silver gray. (The crab should show up as bright orange and the throw pillow is a coral color with true white design.) The quilt is sewn well, and has not come unravelled, and the pattern is very pretty. I think it would work well with many bedroom themes. Right now am using with a blanket underneath, but will remove and use alone during the summer.

This is super soft and a very nice light blue. I had no issues with the length, it came down as needed on the sides and bottom. I ordered a twin one in white to make a cover for my headboard and used the pillowcase that came with that. I also cut and sewed the king pillowcases because we really don't use king pillows and I wanted the decorative ones to fit my regular pillows and I love how it turned out!
