Sungiven is underselling this premium ramen product, they don't even mention the most important feature which is that these are air dried, not fried noodles. Air dried always costs more and it should, as the oil residue will not go rancid like cheaper ramen and you don't get the fat calories that do little for nutrition. The use by date is 15 months in the future and these can last far longer than that because there is no oil. The ramen is well packaged in a protective cardboard box. I have not eaten beets for 50 years so I decided to have the beet flavor first but it was not a bitter pill. It did not turn the cooking water red and there was only a light fresh aroma of beets from the cooked ramen. This cooks with 3 minutes of boiling without getting too soggy, it retains a chewy texture which is considered desirable. These ramen portions include no seasoning sachet, which is not unusual with vegetable powder fortified noodles. The compact round dried bricks which weigh under 3 ounces will expand a lot and provide a full serving. You can still add things to make this the way you like - cooked shrimp, sliced pork, a boiled or raw egg, mushrooms and a soup base of your choice. Or have them drained with just some furikake or soy sauce or sesame or chili oil. The 'organic' label adds nothing but woo, but air dried is definitely a virtue.
