the product was purchased from walmart.com and was forwarded from ontario, canada. upon arrival the box was immediately opened, the mirror was broken in 1/2 across the middle and both the upper lft corner and bottom rt corner had crescent cracks from the side to the top and side to bottom. i contacted the vendor within 1/2 hr after opening the box via walmart.com. 2 days later i was advised by the vendor a replacement was in route, dispose of the broken item. a week later the replacement arrived, was put together with in 1/2 hr (easy assembly, even for a 100% disabled combat vet) and the wife spent the next 2 hrs placing her jewelry in it. She loves it, reminds me of our two daughters many tears ago when they got their first easy bake ovens. Great gift for a woman.

I got this as a super steal from black friday. Immediately assembled it after bringing it home from the store! I read all of the reviews so hopefully my review can clarify some issues. Here's what I love about this: -the lock works fine. The way it works is that you insert the key and turn it away from you (as if starting a car) and simultaneously opening the door of the armoir. I freaked out thinking I was locked out of my new mirror but it can get confusing if you try to open it like a regular door lock. It automatically locks every time you close it so I don't suggest placing the keys inside. Lol -this mirror is REAL. I get nervous buying mirrors because some have a distorted effect that make you look skinnier than you acruelly are. Ya, no thanks I'll take all my fats I need to be realistic. It's also super tall depending on your height. I'm 5'2 and this mirror is slightly taller than me once assembled. My entire outfit can be seen even when I'm up close which is great. This mirror is also a jewelry holder so it will always have a slight tilt backwards fyi. Would not be sensible to have an earring holder where your things can fall out easily. -it's quite heavy which means it's pretty solid. Howver because it is also adjustable theres a slight wobble. This doesnt bug me but just be aware. This is not a super heavy duty piece of furniture but I see myself having this for life. If I feel like doing so, I can take the stand part off and just create hooks or something to attach to a wall if I feel like I want something permanent. -The little compartments towards the bottom are amazing for holding nailpolish and random knickknacks. I don't have nearly as much stuff as some of the other reviewers so I honestly just use them for random things that have no place. You could also store small wallets and other accessories. I don't really known about using this for scarves because it is such a small space. The only issue I faced during assembly was that I was missing half of one of the wooden dowels. If this happens to you just stuff the hole with a little bit of paper and then place the dowel. I actually ran into a few issues during assembly because I did it by myself but if you get creative you should be fine! Also, I added Christmas lights around the boarders of the mirror and it lights up now and it super cute!
