Purple Sword 'Lavallaei' Apoballis Acuminatissima Plant - Easy to Care - 4" Pot

This rare aroid has beautifully patterned leaves with deep purple undersides. The pointed, green leaves have silver mottling giving them a camouflaged appearance. Grow in bright, indirect light inside the home and keep away from hot sunlight as this can burn the tender leaves. If grown outside, place in a shady location. Apoballis prefers high humidity and a dilute solution of soluble fertilizer in the summer months when actively growing. It requires care similar to a Homalomena and you’ll sometimes see it referred to as Homalomena ‘Purple Sword.’ They prefer bright, indirect light to thrive but can survive in medium light situations as well. As they are tropical species, they do best in high humidity and evenly moist soil.
