充满地域特色的水乡画卷,展现传统农耕文化之美
This is a picture book that embodies the warmth of time and the philosophy of nature. Set against the scenic backdrop of Peach Blossom Stream, it tells a moving story about humans and animals, nature and life.
The scenery of Peach Blossom Stream is breathtaking, yet the stream is prone to floods-silent, gentle floods known as ""civil floods"" and fierce, violent ones called ""martial floods."" That year, during a civil flood, my father and I rescued a calf named Ah Fu, and we became inseparable companions. During the Dragon Boat Festival, Peach Blossom Stream also celebrates the ""Horn-Clashing Festival."" Amid the sound of drums and music, cattle cross the stream and lock horns in a lively and joyful spectacle. Young Ah Fu roared to drive away the great blue bull and fought fiercely with a black bull, unexpectedly earning the title of ""Cattle Commander."" However, when Peach Blossom Stream was struck by a once-in-a-century martial flood, Ah Fu helped me escape danger but was swept away by the raging currents. Later, a dam was built upstream and a stone bridge was constructed in the village, putting an end to the floods that once plagued Peach Blossom Stream. In my dreams, Ah Fu and I journey along the stream, with vibrant peach blossoms blooming on both banks.
Within this story, rich with Eastern charm, lies the courage of working people to coexist with nature and the wisdom to hold onto hope amid change.
