I've only used these once so I can't say for sure that I'm pleased. These orthotics are so different from my usual ones meaning stiffer with higher arch. I also was expecting more cushioning on the sole of my feet. I'll give them a few more hikes to see if they improve

My podiatrist recommended the normal powerstep insoles to relieve joint pain I was experiencing within the ball of my right foot. The pain only appears when hiking downhill. After a couple of weeks using the basic insoles (in both hiking shoes), the pain in the right foot joint was about 80% less. I then decided to try the hiking power insoles and now feel NO pain in the right foot. Yay!
