We are very pleased with the appearance and usefulness of this table. It nicely finishes off an area with several other related pieces. Construction of the table seems solid, with lots of bolts, 1/4"" washers and lock washers going into embedded nuts. The shelves are supported by metal L-brackets. All needed hardware is provided, along with an Allen wrench that fits all the bolts. Assembly took me 30 - 45 minutes. Be aware, though of certain caveats. (1) The table is made in China, not in the USA. But, formaldehyde and other odors are not an issue. (2) Some parts of the table are made of particle board with oak veneer. This seems to mostly apply to the side pieces below the top surface. I could not tell if the shelves and top use particle board, but they are oak veneer on something else. The legs appear to be solid wood. (3) Since the legs are tapered, be aware of the usable dimensions on the shelves, as formed by the space between the legs. The lower shelf space between legs varies from approximately 17-3/4"" wide x 13-1/2"" deep at the shelf to 17"" wide by 12-7/8"" deep to the top of the area. The upper shelf space between legs varies from approximately 16-3/4"" wide x 12-3/4"" deep at the shelf to 16-1/8"" wide x 12-1/8"" deep at the top of the area. Both shelf areas are approximately 8-1/2"" high. One of the items for which we got this table just barely fit on the lower shelf, so measure carefully!
