This rug is absolutely gorgeous. The differing shades and the bold, dark colors make a powerful statement. I am redoing my living room using a zero-dollar approach (where you use what you already have), was able to redo the whole thing by only buying one new item, namely, this rug. And at the sale price, it was a real steal. I wanted something to evoke a coastal style, and although this is described as "modern and abstract," to me the colors and shadings look like the ocean. The rug looks like it's moving because it changes constantly under the lights and while you're in motion. The surface is super soft and velvety. Feels and looks very rich and more expensive than it actually is. It looks absolutely gorgeous with my white furniture and blue/teal accents. My previous rug was very pretty, but it was a light color. The deep colors of this one really give a powerful punch to the whole room. I wish the larger size had been available, but I will make the smaller one work. I've added a couple of pictures of it after I put it down. Now, there are some drawbacks. It's thin, but that also makes it easy to fit under furniture, and it's lightweight so will be easy to pick up, move, and wash. ( I really like these washable rugs and will never go back to another type!). If you're used to rugs that feel really substantial, this isn't that. It's definitely lightweight and more like a large mat. It won't give you a lot of insulation against noise or coldness. All that said, it looks beautiful and is absolutely a great value for the price.
